The fourteenth edition of Bricoday, the main exhibition and congress dedicated to the diy distribution, ended on Friday, 7th October at Fieramilanocity. It was once again a year of double-digit growth: all figures confirm Bricoday’s leadership in the related industry and strengthen its role as an essential meeting point for the diy and home&garden multisectoral universe.
Talking about figures: 16,000 net square meters (+30% than 2021), 350 exhibitors (+32% than 2021), 7,800 visitors in the two days of the event (+16% than 2021 Bricoday and Hardware Forum combined). It should be noted that the last figure is compared with that of Bricoday’s last edition, which was held in the first months of going back to normal after the pandemic and which registered a boost in the number of attendees.
Bricoday’s strength is to be able to coexist different worlds under a single roof, all belonging to the product categories typical of the diy distribution, a mix that has earned space in many other channels such as mass markets, building retailers, department stores, home furnishings and non-food discount specialists, whose players are now enthusiastically participating in the event, thanks also to the complete offer of the exhibition, with many leading brands of all the industries involved.
Furthermore, in the 2022 edition, Bricoday’s format has reached full maturity, creating an ideal balance between the compactness of the exhibition, allowing buyers to optimize the time of the visit, and the presence of structured booths, which fully represent the identity and product offer of the companies.

Successfully carried out in 2021, Bricoday Luce is Bricoday’s lighting show. It is the area dedicated to everything that sheds light in the world of Diy: wall lights, chandeliers, floor lamps, spotlights, led strips, outdoor lighting, light bulbs.
Bricoday Luce occupies an area of over 1,400 square meters within Bricoday, in the middle of the pavilion. An attractive and different layout will make Bricoday Luce ‘shine’, turning it into a visitors’ point of attraction.
The goal of Bricoday Luce is to highlight the lighting sector, one of the most dynamic sectors characterized more than others by technological factors, design, regulations… and undoubtedly the most attractive. With a dedicated space and a wide-ranging promotion Bricoday Luce will attract not only visitors of the Diy sector, but also buyers of furniture and home centers, and lighting retailers which are already entering Bricoday.

Bricoday’s exhibitors occupy an exhibition area of 22,000 m2 and represent every possible “world” of DIY business.
The pre-built booths have compact size – from 7.50 to 30 m2 – optimizing the visiting time and promoting contacts with various leader companies.

The heart of Bricoday is its congress, an appointment not to be missed for every professional operator from the DIY and gardening business. Our top speakers are research institutes, leading exponents of the academic world, prominent figures of DIY Specialized Retailers and producing companies. Every year, Bricoday gives the opportunity to display the market data, to identify future scenarios, to highlight threads and issues linked to the Specialized Retailers’ world, to be informed about the most interesting case histories.
Bricoday is held by Epe edizioni, the publishing house of Bricomagazine and Ferrutensil, two trade magazines dedicated respectively to DIY wholesalers and traditional hardware store retailers.
